can you make your own designs with cricut?
I just bought a personal cricut, and was wondering if I were to buy the design studio could I make my own design logo to cut out and than put on a shirt? Any tips on how to do this would be great !
I just bought the Design Studio myself and am using Expressions cutter.
I have not been able to make my own designs in Design Studio. I am restricted to what is available on the cartridges. Point blank...the cutter does not know what cuts to make without an image from the cartridge - I assume this is the case with all Cricut cutters. The cutters will not cut or draw anything unless you have a cartridge in them - they just aren't that sophisticated.
The best you can do is use shapes from any number of cartridges and put them together as you like (not design shapes from scratch). BUT - you need to own the cartridge that has the shape(s) you want to use.
The problem with Sure Cut's A Lot (SCAL) software now is that Provo Craft the makers of Cricut have sued SCAL so if you were to download the current SCAL today it will not work with any Cricut cutter. If you can find a pre-sued version of the software you may be able to get it to work.

What little printer has the Cricut Imagine using?
I'm thinking of buying a Cricut imagine, but I am concerned that if the printer is a laser printer inkjet can be bad for my asthma long term and if someone can tell me the type of ink or printer you use?

I saw a program that can not find anywhere to draw much cuts INSURANCE Cricut machine. I need a MAC though. I'm tired of looking at Wal-Mart or Target. I'll try Best Buy, Fry's, Radio Shack and Michaels Stores by the end, but if not find it. I saw this on Amazon, but am very afraid of buying things online. Have you ever been the victim of a scam and not getting what you bought? Thank you so much?
eBay is the most appropriate for a coutry thats if you find the right vendor, you can get fantastic deals! I've never been scammed on eBay, but was cheated twice on amazon i do not get the first item, then I had the wrong item>: (Hope I helped and not used on eBay!
